Vista has a new set of responses which are showed on the screen when the pen is used as the cursor. This screenshot gives an example of the new animations:

The first small circle is displayed when you tap the pen once. The second, double circle is displayed on a double tap. Both of these responses are animated and start off as small circles at the center of the pen tap and then expand to the large circles you see here.

The third and fourth images show the "Press and hold" response. When the pen is held on the screen the thick grey circle is draw in a clockwise manner, starting at what would be 12 o'clock and going around. This circle is held until the pen is drawn away from the screen. At that point it highlights itself and appearas the blue circle, and the right click menu will fade in (it's starting to appear in the picture here).
